Alpha Medical’s Plantar Fasciitis Night Splint is designed for treating Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles Tendonitis, and other conditions recommended by your doctor. The Alpha Medical plantar fasciitis night brace provides you with fast relief by gently cradling your ankle in a neutral position overnight, the PF night split passively stretches the calf and plantar fascia while you sleep. This gentle stretch helps reduce the muscle contracture, inflammation, and associated pain. The lightweight, low profile shell is sturdy and breathable and has three padded straps with buckles to ensure immobilization. In addition, the padding features a washable Lycra covering that is cool against the skin for maximum comfort. Recommend HCPC L4398

Preparation
1. Begin by un-attaching the 3 straps across the front of the night splint using the quick-snaps provided. Do not loosen the dorsi-flexion straps at this time.
Application
1. Place your foot into the night splint, making sure the heel fits snug against the heel of the splint.
2. Attach the bottom strap and adjust until snug. The straps should be fed under the dorsi-flexion straps.
3. Continue by attaching the remaining 2 straps as described above. Adjust straps for tightness as needed.
Dorsi-Flexion Adjustment
1. Un-attach the dorsi-flexion straps and simultaneously pull to adjust the dorsi-flexion to the desired level. If pain is experienced with the night splint in the resting position, the wedge can be removed from under the toe for less dorsi-flexion.
Cleaning Instructions
Hand wash using cold water and mild detergent. Air dry. Do not dry clean, iron or bleach any part of this brace.
How to Effectively use Your PF Night Splint
It will be best to wear the night splint for only 1 hour the first night, then extending it gradually each night. Our splints are adjustable, so you can alter the tension. You may need to start with it looser & tighten over time. The goal is to wear it overnight or for around 4 to 5 hours at a time.

Wedge Use & Adjustment
When you receive your plantar fasciitis night splint you will find a foam wedge attached to toe area of the night splint’s lightweight shell. The wedge can be adjusted or removed to increase or decrease the stretch of the calf and plantar fascia (dorsi-flexion).
Where Does the Wedge Go?
Step 1 Lift up the fabric pad at the toe area of the boot.
Step 2 Slide the wedge underneath and affix to the Velcro on the wedge to the Velcro on the bottom of the boot.
